I watched on TV one of the top latin festivals : Festival de Vina. So many top artists, so many great songs. For those who dont know Vina is a city in Chile and every year in february top latin artist gather at the festival to sing beautiful songs. This year Vina had 3 of the top reggaetonores : Calle 13, Wisin y Yandel. Calle 13 gave a solid 2 hours performance going thru all is top songs and the crowd was screaming for more songs even after 2 hours. Calle really impressed me. Reggaeton is a type of dance music with beginnings in Jamaica and made popular in Panama and Puerto Rico on the radio in the mid-1990s. It has now become popular in other Latin American countries. Reggaeton music - also spelled Reggaetón and hispanicised as Reguetón - blends 100% dancehall music and hip hop music, with additional influences from electronic music, latino bomba, plena, and other latin music styles. My opinion on Christian reggaeton

In 2008, I am not down 100% with the word Christian Reggaetón music. To me there shouldn’t be Christian reggeaton, ok I can see you jumping in front of your screen but let me explain. When you are categorizing a certain genre of reggaeton songs to be Christian you're isolating a minority of reggaetoneros to be Christian wise. Youre also insunuating that the other reggaetoneros are not as holy because they don’t fit in the Christian category. By doing so you're being snobbish in my book and that creates 2 category of people. When analysing further we realize that artiste like Daddy Yankee, Tito, or Don Omar often reference God in there lyric. So what makes some reggaeton songs more Christian then mine ? Often the argument of bad word being use like gatas or sata, yes those are bad words but its more a society problem then reggaeton related. I mean every music genre has bad apples. Who is the best reggaeton artist

In November Ritmo montreal was in Dallas chilling with Wisin Yandel at there album launch party done by la CALLE radio music. At one point we asked Wisin Yandel staff members: a part from Wisin Yandel who they think was the top reggaeton artist and they all answered: Don Omar. They answered Don omar whitout a shred of hesitation or doubt. You must understand that those guys are reggaeton experts, they eat reggaeton, they read reggaeton and they sleep with reggaeton. In other word they know what there speaking about. We asked them if they were 100% sure and why Don and not Daddy or somebody else ? Well its simple no other artist in the reggaeton game can take you from a romantic extreme to a club vibe like Don Omar can. That guy will make you cry and the next songs you’ll be jumping all over the place, his voice can do it all from romantic to perreo vibe lol. Yankee is good but he cannot do that, with Yankee its Rompe Rompe Rompe, which is good, but Don will make you Rompe and cry after, not many artist can do that. Plus Don’s voice is so powerful…. That’s the explanation that Wisin Yandel staff’s gave us. Its easy to established the top 3 reggaeton artist within that top 3 who is the best ? Yankee, Don or Wisin Yandel ? Who is the best newcomer in reggaeton ?

We saw an interview with Don Omar, he was in a radio station. At one point they ask him who’s his top 3 reggaeton music artists ? He answered Divino, Arcangel, Wisin Yandel. Theres not 100 answers to that question, we agree for Wisin Yandel. We were surprised to see Divino’s name but then again we understood. A lot of reggaeton artist are more rappers then singers but Divino has a strong voice and the guy can sing. We wonder why he doesn’t have more success. With a voice like his, he should be on top with the rest of the gang. Now to the top bad boy of reggaeton, Mr Maravilla Arcangel. Ok we have to admit, I hate is vibe but I love is music. To the question who is the top newcomer in regaeton music the answer is Arcangel and by far. La maravilla until recently didn’t have an album and he sold out is concert in Porto Rico. Today lets comment on our reggaeton music radio. Theres a lot of radio on the internet providing good music, some are really good, some are bad, its all depending of your music taste. That being said, our radio has something that no other radio on the web has, the quality of the sound. Most of the radios will give you sound at 64K but ours is at 192K.
